I wouldn’t say it’s fancy, but definitely cute. We got Chado Afternoon Tea service and it was plenty of food for 2 girls. Warm soft scones were heavenly.

Lovely place. This is my second birthday celebration at high tea at Chado Tea Room. My family and I love it. And I get a lovely birthday present as well!! Very nice.

What a delightful way to enjoy a mild day in Old Pasadena. Afternoon tea at Chado Tea Room exceeded our expectations. Our server, Sam, made it a wonderful experience. Turned into a 3 tea experience with the last pot being Sam's recommendation of butterscotch with milk. The tray of sandwiches and sweets were also delicious. Scones were served warm and were delicately crisp. Lovely indoor dining space, but we sat outdoors to enjoy the sunny day. Highly recommend this establishment.

Came here for the afternoon tea and I love the environment. The price is reasonable and great value for money. High tea for $20~/person is not easy to find nowadays, and this place is located in the core of Pasadena with great service and atmosphere.

Exceeds exceptional hospitality and taste in tea and food! The white raspberry champagne tea tasted like the tea leaves were brewed right off the plant and made with the purest water you would ever taste. It was astounding. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Super attentive and cared about your experience there. The atmosphere was calm and cute. Love the whole experience. Not enough good things to say about this place. Will definitely be coming back!

I visited this Chado so many times and the staff here are all attentive and professional. Make sure you have a reservation around 1-2 days prior for weekends since it does get busy and I have seen customers get turned away for no reservations. It’s a cute spot for tea time with your friends and family and I highly recommend their plain scones with strawberries and chado cream.

I went here 3/7/24. I got there at 5:30 not knowing they close at 6. I wasn’t rushed at all. I had tea service and the tea itself was delicious. It was fragrant well balanced and flavorful. I like the variety of teapots , while the tea cups are uniform. It’s a casual environment which is nice from formal afternoon tea sometimes. I would come back again. The servers kept checking and pouring tea. It was clean, the food was larger portions, and it was a calm cozy atmosphere.

This was our first time here. Samuel our server was amazing. He is very passionate and knowledgeable of the restaurant he works for

Parking: Street parking available Ambience: Came here for Mother's Day and it was wonderfully adorned and really felt like an event :) There's a wide selection of teas on the wall, and the store is very well organized and decorated. Service: Friendly and accommodating! Taste: The teas, sandwiches, and desserts were all very aesthetically pleasing and tasted quite good. Although the tea flavors didn't always match the profile / description, all of them did taste different and it was nice being able to sample various flavors. The amount of food provided was filling, and we got to take home leftovers. It was definitely on the pricey side at $65 per person, which I don't necessarily think was worth nearly double the price of the standard celebration afternoon tea service at $36.95 considering the main differences are a few more finger sandwiches, 3 more tea options, and 1 small teacup set for the mother. But it's understandable considering it's obviously a special holiday with lots of people vying for reservations. Overall, had a wonderful celebration here and would still recommend :)

Super friendly and helpful staff! Came for my friend and I's birthdays, and they brought us birthday ice creams. Definitely recommend the afternoon tea set!
